Local Outreach
See how OB1 is "transforming lives" in our own community!
The San Diego Rescue Mission is a year-long, Christ-centered residential program that exists to spread the good news of salvation through Christ by serving the needs of the poor, addicted, abused and homeless, thus improving the quality of their lives.
Loaves and Fishes is a food pantry ministry that operates out of Holy Trinity Church in Ocean Beach. Leigh Ann Bearce, a faithful attendee of OB1 leads the incredibly successful group of volunteers. Call the office at (619) 223-7187 to find out how to get involved!
Second chance ministries meets every Saturday at 8:00am behind the Discovery Center to feed the homeless! They also invite local pastors from the area to deliver a message for the homeless to hear!
Samaritan Project's goal is to intentionally go out into the surrounding neighborhood of Ocean Beach/Point Loma and build relationships that will hopefully lead to various service projects, prayer requests, and opportunities to invite the neighbors to OB1.
